Studio & Launch ASSISTANT Manager

Splatter Room Studio (North London)

We're looking for a right-hand studio assistant to help launch and grow a brand-new immersive creative business from the ground. This is not a casual studio assistant role — it’s for someone who wants to properly get stuck in and be part of building something exciting from day one.

THE ROLE

You’ll be involved in every part of the business, including:

  • Shaping ideas, offers and experiences
  • Helping create structure, systems and smooth ways of working
  • Social media content, planning and engagement
  • Marketing ideas, promotions and partnerships
  • Day-to-day studio running
  • Running splatter sessions, parties and events
  • Customer experience from booking to clean-up
  • Problem-solving on the fly (this is a start-up!)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

COMMITMENT

  • 25 hours per week
  • Minimum 6-month commitment
  • Every other weekend required
  • Some evenings up to 8pm
  • Can be staff or freelance

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This role would suit someone who:

  • Is creative, energetic and practical
  • Loves ideas and execution
  • Is organised but flexible
  • Enjoys working with people (kids, adults, parties, chaos!)
  • Is confident taking initiative rather than waiting to be told
  • Wants experience launching and growing a business
  • Might want to grow with the business long-term

You don’t need to have done this exact job before — attitude, drive and curiosity matter more than a perfect CV

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • A genuinely collaborative role — your ideas will matter
  • Hands-on experience across creative, marketing and operations
  • The chance to grow with the studio as it expands
  • A fun, expressive, non-corporate environment (paint everywhere included)

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHY THIS ROLE IS DIFFERENT

This isn’t a shift job — it’s being there from the start.

You’ll help shape how the studio runs, how it feels, and how people experience it. You'll get to meet hundreds of people, connect communities and hopefully have a lot of fun along the way.

Your ideas will genuinely matter, and you’ll be involved in everything from creative concepts and social content to running sessions and solving real-world problems as they come up.

It’s hands-on, collaborative and a bit chaotic (in a good way). If you love variety, taking initiative, and the idea of saying “I helped build this”, you’ll thrive here.

If you’re looking for more than just hours — and want to grow with something exciting — this could be a great fit.

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

HOURS & PAY

  • £20 per hour
  • Around 25 hours a week, with flexibility as the studio grows
  • Hours work on a fortnightly rota
  • You’ll need to be happy working every other weekend — that part isn’t flexible
  • Some evenings up to 8pm
  • As the business grows, there’ll be opportunities to review hours and pay

 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT A TYPICAL FORTNIGHT MAY LOOK LIKE

This will vary as the studio grows, but to give you a feel for the rhythm, a working fortnight could look something like:

WEEK 1

  • Monday: 10am–4pm
  • Thursday: 12pm–8pm
  • Friday: 10am–3pm

WEEK 2

  • Thursday: 3pm–8pm
  • Friday: 2pm–8pm
  • Saturday: 12pm–8pm
  • Sunday: 10am–6pm

This is just an example — hours will flex depending on bookings, events and launch activity — but every other weekend is part of the role.

* Applicants will need to prove an up to date ENHANCED DBS check certificate.
